CHRISTIAN PHILOSOPHY

The Bible is at the heart of the curriculum.  All subjects, programs, student activities, services, and other aspects are integrated with Biblical principles.  The school theme, “Changing Lives to Change the World” is adopted from the Association of Christian Schools, Intl.  The curriculum is designed not only to meet the requirements of the department of education but to provide a holistic development addressing all aspects of the multiple intelligences present among the students.

FCS has been established as an arm of the home and of the church.  It has accepted responsibility for reinforcing the Biblical teachings of the home and church.  It operates in loco parentis (in the place of the parents) while their children are in school.  FCS does not relieve parents of the ultimate responsibility for the education of the children.   However, the goal of FCS should be the goal of Christian parents, making students Christ-like.

FCS recognizes that the students are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26) and if God has called them to Himself, disciples are responsible for learning about God and His Word.  FCS takes this responsibility seriously as evidenced by its curriculum that includes studying God’s Word, for in it is the knowledge of the Father and His creation.

We believe that God is sovereign and the source of all truth. Christ is God with us and without Him, we have no access to the Father. Therefore, Faith Christian School (FCS) exists to provide quality education aimed toward the child’s holistic and moral development through the nurture of God’s Word. We endeavor to lead each student to the knowledge that absolute truth exists in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ as found in the Word of God.
